Bikharna

Taniya's pov

I sit beside Bhabhi’s unconscious form. Tears gather in my eyes—how everything changed in the blink of an eye. We were so happy a few hours ago, but suddenly our happiness turned into pain.

“Allah, if anything happens to Bhai, Bhabhi, or Baba Jaan, I will never forgive myself,” I thought.

I sit there, staring at her innocence. I know she is much younger than me, but she is my elder brother's wife, and she deserves respect and love.

I caress her head, and a bitter smile crosses my lips. How happy she was for me when I told her I love Navruz.

I control my tears as Sunidhi Mam enters with a servant. The maid puts the snacks on the table and leaves.

Shoaib went to find a rented house because he doesn't want to live in his brother's in-laws’ house, nor do we want to stay in a hotel for so long.

“You know, Taniya, her childhood was full of pain and trauma...,” Sunidhi Mam told me everything about her childhood and why she ended up in this condition—because of that scene she witnessed.

I kiss her palm. "Please wake up, Bhabhi. Only you can save Bhai from your mamu's torture," I prayed silently.

An old maid comes with kava, but her stare makes me uncomfortable. Why are these servants looking at me like I’m some kind of unreal thing?

I was sitting in Bhabhi's room alone with her ,when Shoaib entered and said, "I found the house; we should go now."

My heart stopped at his words. Didn't he bring me here to meet my brother?

"Shoaib, Bhai?" I asked hesitantly.

"No one is allowing me to enter that dungeon," he said, looking at me.

I gulped the lump in my throat. "No, I want to see my brother. What if they kill him? Shoaib, please," I pleaded with tear-filled eyes.

"Taniya, don't cry. I assure you, Abraham bhai will not hurt him beyond what he can bear. He is Rubab's husband, after all," Shoaib replied with frustration.

I put my palm on my lips. How can he say those words so casually? I married him to save my brother, and now he's backing off?

He had already told you about Abraham Ahmed's rules, my mind mocked.

Yes, he told me, and now that I’m in his castle, I’ve made up my mind—I will talk to Abraham sir, and I will beg for my brother's life. Just then,to my good luck,Abraham sir entered the room.

His aura demanded respect. I hastily wiped my tears and stepped forward.

Authors pov

Abraham was sitting in his room after torturing the life out of Taha's body when a knock on his door disturbed his rest. With his permission, a maid and a guard came in front of him.

He gave them a questioning look. His servants only visited him directly when they needed something, usually financial support.

The same guard who allowed Shoaib and Taniya in after seeing Taniya’s face, and the maid who was staring at Taniya intently, stood there.

“Any problem?” he asked, getting up, because both of them were the oldest workers, serving the family since his childhood.

“Miral Bibi is here,” the maid said with gleaming eyes.

Abraham’s breath hitched at hearing this. It wasn't possible; his sister died a long time ago.

“She’s right, she looks like Miral Bibi. I think she’s her daughter,” that bald guard said with happiness.

“It’s not possible, Tahir,” Abraham said with a bitter smile.

“You should see her, sir. She looks like Miral Bibi,” the maid said, almost hopefully.

Abraham blinked back his tears and went to Rubab's room to see his sister's look-alike. His breath hitched for a second when he saw Taniya, who came forward and said, while wiping her tears,

"Please leave my brother. Please, I have no one except him," she cried.

Same face, same nose, same eyes—no, this can't be true. Talha never told Rabail about having children. But he couldn’t deny what he was seeing.

Unwantedly, Shoaib felt hurt hearing her words. Why does she keep saying she has no one except Taha?

Abraham controlled his emotions and spoke, "Your brother is fine."

"Please, I want to meet him. Please, sir," she pleaded helplessly.

Both Abraham and Shoaib's hearts ached seeing her cry so helplessly.

This can't be true. How could she look like Miral Aapi?Abraham thought.

Sunidhi didn’t know anything about Miral, and Anam was not born when Miral left their house to marry Talha.

No, he couldn't make any decisions. If she looked like Miral, that meant Taha was Miral’s—no, no. Abraham shook his head internally.

But seeing her henna-clad hands, he controlled his emotions and said, "I will not apologize for killing that bastard "

Abraham was never a man who reasoned his deeds, but if his doubt is right, then this helplessly crying girl standing in front of him is his beloved sister's flesh. And he doesn't want her to cry over that bastard who was about to sell her after snatching her innocence, so he said what is true.

His sudden change of topic frown both Shoaib and Taniya, but his next words were enough to destroy Taniya without any poison or gun.

"He was involved in women trafficking. He would have sold you too if I hadn't crashed your wedding."
